I See Monsters is inspired by my own experiences growing up. I often found myself feeling scared and worrying, especially before trying something new or stepping into an unknown situation. But once I gathered the courage to face my fears, I realized they only existed in my imagination—like different kinds of monsters. This book is meant to help children confront and overcome their fears.

 

In the story, the main character, Mindy, can see monsters every time she feels scared. The monsters make her scared while trying meaningful and interesting things. If Mindy keeps escaping, the monsters will get more and more.

 

Until one day, her dog Daisy accidentally brought her in front of one of the monsters. She suddenly finds that the monsters actually are not as scary as she once thought.
